Installation of Officers and Directors for 2012/2013
On June 28, 2012 we met to install our 2012/2013 Board of Directors, thank our outgoing board, welcome 3 new members into our club and present some special awards.
Presiding over the event was Marcia Wishnick, outgoing Vice President. Special guest, Lorene Hopkins, District VI Director, spoke to the club. We were honored to have her here to install our new members Barbara Garcia, Teri LaBrousse and Crystal Stuart.
Sally Alapai was presented with the Laural Society Pin, Marcia Wishnick was presented with the Fellowship Award and Laura DeBoer, President, presented three WHOO (honor your own) awards to Fanny Gouveia, Marcia Wishnick, and Kelly Shaw.
The outgoing board, Laura DeBoer, President, Marcia Wishnick, Vice President, Lois Griffiths, Vice President, Mary Huebner, Secretary and Mamie Bramlet, Director were thanked for their service. The incoming board members, Laura DeBoer, President (yes again!), Linda Meyer, Vice President, Kelly Shaw, Secretary, Jennifer Eland, Treasurer and Virginia Isbell, Director, were installed.
We took a club photo. Look at all these great women. It's going to be a great year as we work to improve the lives of women and girls in our community and throughout the world!!!
